Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper return for a new adventure. This action packed audio book follows Jack’s investigation of aggressive behavior displayed by women across the globe, including Gwen who is hospitalized on a psych unit. If you are a fan of the Torchwood series, you will no doubt delight in hearing the most recent exploits of the remaining members of the Torchwood team.
Teens Matt and Em Calder have the ability to animate anything they draw. When their mother realizes that the council of people who monitor their activity want to capture her children, she brings them to her father-in-law’s home for protection. What ensues is a story of intrigue and betrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, which I would recommend if you are a fan of the genre.
Although this story is in the fantasy genre, it is essentially a love story between a young woman fulfilling her destiny as the guardian who prevents evil from entering the world and the warrior assigned to protect her. There were so many ancient gods and goddesses described in the book, I had a hard time keeping track of all of them.
