“The Girl From Berlin” by Ronald Balson

Book Cover

This novel has two interconnected plot lines. In the current time period, an American attorney and her detective husband are asked by a friend to travel to Italy in an attempt to prevent the eviction of an elderly woman from a farm she believes she owns. The woman gives the couple a memoir written by a young Jewish woman from Germany during WWII. As the novel progresses the two story lines intertwine. This was a deeply moving and emotional story beautifully told by the author. I highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
