“Hidden Figures” by Margot Lee Shetterly

Book Cover

This book is a true account of the African-American female mathematicians, (known as “computers”), who worked at Langley Memorial Laboratory in Virginia during World War II and the early days of the space program, as they labored behind the scenes, but received no recognition for their invaluable achievements in NASA’s successes. A major motion picture of the same name has been made based on this book.
