It would be a much pleasanter country if more of us followed the advice of these authors, former White House Social Secretaries. Anecdotes, from the administrations of George (and Laura) Bush and Barack (and Michelle) Obama, perfectly illustrate the book’s subtitle: “The Extraordinary Power of Civility at Work and in Life”. Much more than mere etiquette is recommended, though that “old” art is highlighted. The book is wise, fun and intriguing. I hope it finds a wide readership.
