“Purity” by Jonathan Franzen

Book Cover

This rather lengthy story revolves around Pip Tyler, a young woman in her 20s, whose search for the identity of her father leads to the unfolding of several people’s lives. The author goes into excruciating detail how her parents’ lives intersected with other individuals of some renown. It contains infidelity, murder and mental illness. Though an interesting story, I thought somewhat wordy.
