COMMACK LIBRARY BOND VOTE PASSES

February 2016 Update:

The last several months have been very busy for us at the Library preparing for the renovation of the Commack Public Library. Many meetings with the architect, the and construction managers among others have been occurring with progress being made on the plans and the project. We also continue to be actively pursuing a temporary location for the Library while the renovation occurs. Financing is also being arranged and various surveys of the mechanical systems are being conducted in preparation for the renovation. It is anticipated that we will have everything in place to commence the project in early fall of 2016. We will continue to keep you updated regarding the status of the project via our newsletter and this webpage.

The Commack Public Library Board of Trustees and Library Director are extremely pleased to announce that our voters have APPROVED the October 20, 2015 Bond Referendum Vote!

The official election results were: 460 Yes and 164 No.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each one of you who committed your "spare" time to help "get out the vote" as well as to each one of you who took the time to physically come out to vote for this important investment in the future of your public library. Your approval clearly shows the wonderful, caring and forward-thinking community that we are privileged to call home.
