Then join our 100 Books Before Graduation reading challenge. Read! 100 Books seems like a lot, but if you read one book a month, that’s 12 books in a year. Plus, you can count the books you already have to read for school. Did you participate in our Summer Reading Club? Use those titles too. Just keep in mind, you can’t use anything you read before you registered for this program. If you get stuck, we’ve compiled a list of suggested titles, including some librarian favorites.
Did we mention prizes? Stop by the library with a completed reading log (that’s 20 books) and receive a prize, getting you one step closer to 100 books.
Read 100 books and receive a prize pack for your success, as well as a star in the Teen Room for your accomplishment!

Once you’re registered, you can start recording your books and be on your way to completing the challenge. The challenge ends when you graduate high school or when you complete 100 books, whichever comes

FAQ's

Why should I read 100 books?
Reading can help raise test scores, broaden vocabulary, and increase social skills, which are important for future success. But, if that’s not enough, we have cool prizes. Every time you turn in 20 titles that you’ve read, you’ll receive a prize. Once you’ve read 100 books, you’ll get a prize pack, bragging rights, and your name in the Teen Room.
When can I register?
You can register as soon as you’re out of 5th grade. You can also register any time after that, all the way up until your senior year of high school! Books won’t count until you’ve signed up. Remember, the sooner you sign up, the more time you have to read.
What do I get when I register?
After you register, you will get a starter kit at the library. This kit will have reading logs, a bookmark to help keep your place, and some suggested titles.
Do I have to read the books from the list?
No! The list is just for recommendations. If you can’t think of what to read next, you can take a peek at the list and see if anything sounds good. The list even includes some recommendations from your favorite librarians. You might want to try some, but it’s okay if you don’t.
Are there any rules about what I can and cannot read?
Not really! We’re asking that you read books that are appropriate for you, but they can be fiction, nonfiction, novels in verse, graphic novels, audiobooks, eBooks, and more. You can read books you were assigned in school (as long as you’ve read them), and if you participate in our Summer Reading Club, you can use those titles on your reading log as well. However, if you read the title before you registered, then it doesn’t count.
